What Huber Heights Applicants Need

Each person brings valid photo ID. A driver's license or passport works. Social Security numbers are part of the application but stay off the finished license under ORC 3101.051. Each applicant states under oath their name, age, place of birth, occupation, and the names of both parents.

If you were married before, bring a certified copy of your most recent divorce decree. You must name all previous spouses, any minor children, and give the jurisdiction, date, and case number of each divorce under ORC 3101.05. Widowed applicants need a death certificate. False statements on the application are punishable as falsification under ORC 2921.13.

Marriage Rules and Timing

No blood test. No waiting period. The license is good right away once the probate judge approves it. It stays valid for 60 days per ORC 3101.07. If the ceremony does not happen within that window, you need a new license.

Both applicants must be 18. If one person is 17, juvenile court consent is needed under ORC 3101.02, and the other person cannot be more than four years older. There is a 14-day waiting period after the juvenile court files consent before the license can be issued. Marriage counseling is also required for 17-year-old applicants.
