Beavercreek Marriage License Requirements

Both people must come to the courthouse in person. Ohio law under ORC 3101.05 is clear on this point. No one can apply on your behalf. Each person has to state under oath their name, age, residence, place of birth, occupation, father's name, and mother's maiden name. You also need to give the name of the person who will perform the ceremony.

Bring a valid photo ID like a driver's license or passport. Your Social Security number is needed for the application, but it will not show up on the actual license. That protection is built into ORC 3101.051. If you were married before, bring a certified copy of your most recent divorce decree or a death certificate if you are widowed. You must also list the names of any minor children from past marriages.
